About Me

I am a human being person based in Los Angeles, California.

I make things like books, images, illustrations, sentences, brands, diamond-infused joints, streetwear collections, large and small scale events, 360 marketing campaigns, and a real fabulous vodka gimlet.

I started my first company when I was 12, “WALKOTWS” - or “Walk On The Wild Side”, which began as a design blog and evolved into a small print publishing company. I ran WALKOTWS for 6 years - right up until I started college at Berkeley. In college, I became a master barista, worked in the rare art book industry, incubated an incredible creative agency in Oakland, licked stamps and mailed books during my internship at Slightly Foxed in London. I then started the Aléatoire in 2018 during a snow storm in London and it has since evolved into an extension of my brain. I graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 2019 with a degree in Legal Studies and a complete disinterest in law.

Post-graduation, I

I am and have always been particularly interested in the human condition, and individual life experiences. My work is an interpretation of the humans I encounter and thus currently a case study on what it means to be a young person in the 21st century. I want to figure it out, and so I try to capture and analyze moments of vulnerability in the people I meet.

About The Aléatoire

{translated from French: randomly generated}

I used to have this wonderful blog called WALKOTWS when I was very young, and it was the only thing in the world I cared about. I created my own little spot on the internet where I felt comfortable - until I grew out of its content and original purpose, and eventually bade it a teary goodbye. After a few years without anything to replace it, I noticed that my creative outlet had vanished and I had lost a very comfortable spot. So I created this website, which I hope will become my spot, and which will inevitably grow with me and evolve as I do. What is The Aléatoire right now?

A fluid project, subject to constant change.

A collaborative project, one that welcomes regular contributions.

A vulnerable project, a space that encourages the coupling of openness and tolerance.

A political project, understanding and expressing our experiences through a critically engaged lens.

A creative project, excavating the bits of ourselves that we so often push back.
